  • Terrible (non-existent) focus on attracting sales

We were extremely disappointed -- we had high hopes of seeing where Bourbon Pointu was grown. When we called that morning, we were told to come up. When we arrived, a woman in sweat pants came out and basically shooed us away -- insisting that we needed to call "days in advance" for the degustation. They weren't even interested in selling coffee to us. The potential of the place is clear; the lackluster (to be generous) approach to visitors -- particularly when they have made the trek up the perilous road from St. Joseph to Grand-Coude -- was abysmal. Not only is the place not deserving of customers -- we will never buy their coffee again! (But do visit Le Labyrinthe du The in the same town -- that IS worth a visit, and purchases.)
