Le Cap is the restaurant of the Boucan Canot hotel in Saint-Gilles les Bains. It offers a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. Le Cap's lunchtime and dinner menus offer Creole and French specialities. Amongst the dishes to be savoured are fresh heart of palm salad, foie gras, strips of beef, lamb cutlets, coryphæna fillet, grilled lobster, meringue pyramid, etc. The restaurant is labelled ""Réunion Qualité Tourisme"". Open daily from 12:00 midday to 2:00 p.m., and from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Bar open until 11:00 p.m. Evenings: smart dress only. Events: piano bar on Tuesdays, folklore evening on Fridays, jazz on Saturdays.
ItineraryComing from Saint-Denis or from Saint-Pierre along the Route des Tamarins, take the exit for Saint-Gilles les Hauts / Eperon / Boucan-Canot. Go down the Route du Théâtre towards Boucan-Canot. At the Quick roundabout, turn right and rejoin the Route Nationale. Take the first exit for Boucan-Canot Plage. At the roundabout, take the second right (heading for Lotissement Champagne). Go alongside the Route Nationale and draw up at Boucan-Canot public car park areas. The hotel is a few metres along, on the right.
