Basse Vallée refuge is situated in Saint-Philippe, in a peaceful part of the island's ""Sud Sauvage"" (Wild South) region. The gite has 3 dormitories: one for 8 people and two for 4 people. The gite's restaurant serves traditional Creole cuisine upon reservation: dinner costs €17 and breakfast costs €5 per adult. This refuge belongs to the Mountain Gite Managers Association (AGGM). Pets not allowed.

WegbeschreibungHead towards Saint-Philippe and then take the Office National des Forêts forestry road which is situated behind the church in Basse Vallée. Drive up the road for 8 km. Accessible on foot from the Gîte du Volcan, with varied landscapes and views of the sea and the Sud Sauvage (Wild South) region. You can also return to Saint-Philippe by taking a forestry road from the Gîte de Basse Vallée.
