The Tampon/Plaine des Cafres Tourist Office is a reception, information and reservation point for the many tourist services on offer across the island: hikers’ gites, “Gîtes de France” gites and rooms, “Clévacances” seasonal rentals, Creole hotels and nature activities. The Tampon and Plaine des Cafres regions have a range of possibilities on offer to nature lovers, including hiking, horseback outings, mountain-biking and 4-wheel drive excursions. Open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
WegbeschreibungComing from the East along RN3, the Office is on the left, after the Maison du Volcan roundabout, just after the Caltex station. Coming from the South, towards St Benoit and the Volcano, you must drive through Le Tampon and Plaine des Cafres. The Office is on RN3, on the right, just after the Grands Kiosques and just before the Caltex station.
